Stamford Sewage Spill Under Investigation

STAMFORD, Conn. — Raw sewage was seen Friday morning on the water surface of Stamford Harbor, the Connecticut Department of Environmental and Energy Protection said in an email.

Officials are still working to find the source of the sewage, but have ruled out overflow or discharge from the municipal sewage system and the Water Pollution Control Authority, the email said.

The state is providing technical assistance to the city and has an emergency response group in Stamford.
