The social media help users stay in touch with friends and keep track of what their favorite celebrities are up to. They can also be valuable tools for businesses trying to market their services. Wednesday night, Stamford business owners are invited to the second seminar in the Mayors Small Business Advantage series to learn how this is done.
Social media have done more to level the playing field for small business as they develop their marketing plans, Mayor Michael Pavia said in a press release.
Seminar panelists are Gillian R. Doucette, interactive manager with Hearst Media Services ; Marc W. Halpert, managing partner of Your Best Interests LLC , and T.J. White, director of sales & training of Hearst Media Services. They will speak about Facebook , Twitter , and LinkedIn .
The event starts 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments and networking followed by the seminar from 6:15 to 8 p.m. The seminar takes place in the auditorium at Stamford High School .
