Then each category was given a weighted score. The eight categories were combined to give each city a total livability score.

Stamford received a total livability score of 617. The city excelled in several categories, including demographics, amenities and transportation, netting scores of 82, 80 and 68, respectively.

Stamford only struggled in one category, netting a rating of 34 in the economy category, which factors in cost of living and affordability.
