Stamford Public Schools Cancels All Afternoon Activities Due To Snow

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Winter refuses to loosen its grip on the area, and it has resulted in the cancellation of all afternoon activities in the Stamford Public Schools, including ROSCCO, due to the forecast of snow and sleet for Tuesday, March 3.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow, beginning after 4 p.m., with a total daytime accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

It will turn messier Tuesday night, with snow, freezing rain, and sleet in the forecast before 10 p.m. Rain and sleet will fall between 10 p.m. and midnight, with rain after midnight. 

The temperature is expected to rise to 35 degrees by about 3 a.m. 

Wednesday is expected to be rainy, with temperatures rising up to 41 degrees.
