Stamford Opens Up Warming Centers

STAMFORD, Conn. — With temperatures well-below freezing, Stamford has opened up several warming centers throughout the city.

The Stamford Government Center will be open until 9 p.m. everyday to keep people out of the cold weather.

? Chester Addison Community Center, 245 Selleck St., Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ? Glenbrook Community Center, 35 Crescent St., Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ? Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd., until 9 p.m. ? Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ? Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m. ?
