Stamford Motorists Should Be Alert For Triathletes Sunday

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford motorists are advised that the KIC IT Triathlon will be going through portions of the city on Sunday on bikes and running from about 7 to 10 a.m. with most of the athletes arriving between 8 and 9 a.m.

Residents are asked to be alert to a large presence of cyclists on the following roads: Chestnut Hill Road, Haviland Road, High Ridge Road, Mayapple Road, Old Long Ridge Road, Rock Rimmon Road, Scofieldtown Road, Sunset Road, and West Haviland Lane. Runners will be on Washington Boulevard, Cold Spring Road and Summer Street. The complete map of the bike course and running course is online.

Roads will be open to cars, but residents may experience a delay.

The course will be staffed with Stamford Police, race personnel and volunteers. A cleaning crew will follow the last cyclist.
