STAMFORD, Conn. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Stamford last week:

  • A Stamford man Tucker Blandford, 23, faked his death to get out of a wedding to an English woman he met at the University of Connecticut.
  • Three suspects Dilcia M. Discua, 37, from Stamford, Conn.; Donna I. Doria, 57, from Stormville and Gustavo Gregori, 29, of Greenwich were charged with driving while intoxicated at a checkpoint in Port Chester.
  • A man Eduardo Castro-Carino, 26, of 131 West Broad St. was accused of burning his girlfriend's belongings in a driveway and then pulling a 10-inch knife on her threatening to kill her because she didn't want to tell her mother about their relationship.
