Juarez was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder and faces up to 40 years in jail when he returns to state Superior Court in Stamford on Tuesday, June 30, the report said.

In a 20-page arrest affidavit, Juarez drafted a plan with Zecena to kill Greenwich resident William Forte for having an affair with his wife, the report said.

Zecena was the first to be arrested after a police informant found out that Zecena wanted to have someone killed and put him in touch with an undercover Greenwich police officer posing as a hit man, according to police.

Zecena told the undercover police officer where Forte lived and described what he looked like, according to police. He also gave the undercover cop an $80 down payment with a promise to give $5,920 more and a dagger to do the job, according to police reports.

After being locked up for two weeks on an attempted murder charge, Zecena told police that the plan was constructed by Juarez, the report said.
