Stamford Beaches Closed After Heavy Rainfall

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford beaches were closed to swimming Tuesday, a post on the Stamford Recreation website said.

The city’s Health Department ordered the beaches to be closed after the city experienced significant amounts of rainfall on Monday night and Tuesday morning, the post said.

This is the second time this summer the beaches have been closed, Cummings and West beaches were closed last week after untreated sewage was found in the water.
