STAMFORD, Conn. — GreatNonprofits named Stamford Animal Rescue as one of its 2012 Top-Rated Awards.

“They deserve to be discovered by more donors and volunteers who are looking for a great nonprofit to support,” Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, said in a news release.

The organization received the award based on the large number of positive reviews it received from volunteers, donors and clients, the release said.

Being on the list helps potential donors and volunteers know Stamford Animal Rescue is a credible organization.

GreatNonprofits, awarded 1,386 groups as Top-Rated. Center of Hope for Haiti, was the only other Stamford-based group to receive the distinction.
