FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County could see a few inches of snow Friday morning before a clear weekend arrives, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow is expected to hit early Friday morning, when a slight chance of rain and snow is predicted between 1 and 3 a.m., then a slight chance of snow after 3 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 32 degrees and wind chill values between 25 and 30. There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation, and a north wind between 7 and 10 mph.

There is a slight chance of snow before 1 p.m. Friday, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation. After that, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually become sunny with a high near 43.

The weekend is expected to be clear. Saturday will be partly sunny, with a high near 42, and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 43.

Snow could return next week beginning Monday night, where the chance of precipitation is 30 percent and the low is expected to be 30. Tuesday will see a chance of snow, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation and a high near 39.
