The Stamford Police have confirmed that a body was found in the Holly Pond area Tuesday afternoon, according to published reports. The Stamford Advocate says that the body is that of an East Side man, whom it did not identify. At this point police believe "[f]oul play does not seem to be a factor in the death," the Advocate reported. Holly Pond sits on the Stamford-Darien border. The body was found in a river near Hamilton Avenue, which leads to the pond. Police were not available for comment late Tuesday afternoon.
