'Real Housewives' Star Graces US Weekly Cover From Danbury Prison

DANBURY, Conn. -- Teresa Giudice, the star of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey' who is incarcerated in the federal prison in Danbury, graces the cover of the newest issue of US Weekly magazine.

Giudice, 42, is pictured on the cover wearing a green prison jumpsuit and posing with her husband and two of their daughters. A larger photo inside includes their other two daughters. 

The US Weekly website says the family photo was taken in the visitation room at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury.

Giudice turned herself in Jan. 5 to begin serving a 15-month federal prison sentence in Danbury. 

She and her husband, Joe, pleaded guilty under a deal to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in a multimillion-dollar mortgage and bankruptcy case. He will begin to serve his 41-month prison term when she is released. 

The prison in Danbury has gained fame with the bestselling book and hit Netflix show, "Orange Is The New Black." The book's author, Piper Kerman, served her drug sentence in Danbury. It also where rapper Lauryn Hill served out her three-month sentence for tax evasion.  

Danbury is a minimum-security camp that houses 218 female inmates. Another 800 inmates are held at a low-security prison next door.
