NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalkers urgently in need of a passport face a new inconvenience, as the Connecticut Passport Agency closed its Norwalk office as of Friday.

The agency's new office opens Monday at 850 Canal St. in Stamford.

The agency issues U.S. passport books onsite to qualifying customers who want them within two weeks. The office is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, excluding federal holidays. Appointments can be made via the automated appointment system at 1-877-487-2778.

The Norwalk office was located at 50 Washington St.
