STAMFORD, Conn. ? Nicholas Koloniaris, 81, of Stamford died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Stamford Hospital. He was born May 15, 1930, in Litochoro, Greece.
He became a permanent resident of the U.S. in 1955. A dentist, he was the former owner of the Connecticut Academy of Dental Technology School and more recently was the founder and owner of Crown Express Dental Lab. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and painting landscapes.
Koloniaris is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maria Ferlia Koloniaris; two sons, Michael Koloniaris and his wife, Susan, and John Koloniaris and his wife, Kristin; a brother, Ioannis Koloniaris and a wife, Stamatia; a sister, Akrivi Vagiakakou, and a grandson.
A funeral service was held at the Church of the Archangels in Stamford, with interment following at Fairfield Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory .
The family suggests that donations be made in Koloniaris' memory to the American Cancer Society , 72 Danbury Road, Wilton, or to the Heart Disease Research Foundation, Court Street, Brooklyn, NY.
