NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The former night nurse of copper heiress Huguette Clark is suing for part of the late woman's $300 million estate, which includes a mansion in New Canaan, according to the New York Post.

Geraldine Coffey claims she was kept out of secret negotiations for the estate by members of Clark's family, the Post reported. 

Coffey also claims that Clark told her that she would be taken care before she died in 2011, according to the Post.

The story of Clark's reclusive life was told in the bestselling "Empty Mansions: The Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune."
