FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Metro-North will resume limited train service on the New Haven Line to and from Stamford, the railroad announced Saturday.

These are the first trains to run Saturday afternoon:
• 1:37 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to Stamford.
• 2:03 p.m. train Stamford to Grand Central Terminal.
Train riders can see a schedule for Saturday at this website.
Service between Stamford and New Haven remains suspended until further notice. All branch line services to New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury remain suspended until further notice.

"Parts of the line are buried under three feet of snow," Metro-North said in a statement. "Metro-North employees continue to conduct aggressive snow-fighting operations."
The Harlem and Hudson lines were offering limited service starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. All of Metro-North's train lines had stopped operating Friday night, as the rate of snowfall quickened.
Amtrak had not updated its status, but was presumably not operating its New York-Boston service, given the Metro-North being suspended. It canceled Acela service for Saturday. Shore Line East Service service remains suspended until further notice.
