Metro-North Trains Facing Delays Due To Downed Wires Near South Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — Commuters on the New Haven Line are seeing large delays on Friday morning due to overhead wire damage, Metro-North said via Twitter.

Update: Metro-North reports that trains are running on or close to schedule by 10:25 a.m.

The delays are up to 20 minutes westbound and 45 minutes eastbound due to overhead wire damage in the vicinity of South Norwalk, Metro-North said.

Metro-North said customers traveling through the vicinity of Stamford and Westport are experiencing similar delays. 

Train riders are urged to listen for announcements at the stations.
