Greenwich Public Schools Cancels Evening Activities Due To Snow, Sleet

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Winter refuses to loosen its grip on the area, and it has resulted in the cancellation of all evening activities in the Greenwich Public Schools after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 3.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow, beginning after 4 p.m. with a total daytime accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

It will turn messier Tuesday night as snow, freezing rain, and sleet fall before 10 p.m. Rain and sleet will continue between 10 p.m. and midnight, then it will turn to all rain after midnight.

The temperature is expected to rise to about 35 degrees by 3 a.m. 

Wednesday is expected to be rainy, with temperatures rising up to 41 degrees.
