Garbage Collection Schedule For New Year's In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — There will be no garbage collected and the transfer stations and recycling centers will be closed in Stamford on New Year’s Day.

The transfer stations and recycling centers will operate on normal business hours Monday, a release from the city said. The Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the Scale House from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Garbage and recycling collection will resume Wednesday with the following schedule:
Normal Pick Up Day: Tuesday; collected Wednesday
Normal Pick Up Day: Wednesday, collected Thursday
Normal Pick Up Day: Thursday, collected Friday
Normal Pick Up Day: Friday; collected Saturday
