Former Stamford Music Teacher Wants Child Endangerment Charge Cleared

STAMFORD, Conn. – A Stamford music teacher charged with child endangerment seeks to enter a court program that could remove the charge from his record, Stamford Advocate reports.

According to a state prosecutor, Sean Jackson, 41, confessed in July to telling a 10-year-old student to take off her shorts and underwear during a piano lesson at her Greenwich school, the report states. The felony charge would be expunged if Jackson is accepted into the accelerated rehabilitation program and stays out of trouble for up to two years, according to the report. 

Jackson, a native of Barbados, was the music director at the Stanwich Congregational Church and a part-time music instructor at Convent of the Sacred Heart. He had also taught at the Stanwich School. Following his arrest in July, Jackson was fired from his positions at the two schools and the church.
