STAMFORD, Conn. A man hit his 18-year-old son with a flashlight after the son would not let him get to sleep, Stamford police said.
Alexander Braverman wanted to borrow the family car and pestered his father, Michael Braverman, 44, until about 4 a.m. Monday, when the assault occurred, police said. Bravermans wife told police her son doe not have a license, and both men were arrested.
The elder Braverman was charged with third-degree assault, and the son was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order, police said.

Daniel Fernandez, 42, of 596 Newfield Ave., was arrested after pushing and slapping his ex-wife earlier this month, police said. He turned himself in Monday and was charged with violation of a protective order and third-degree assault, police said.
Brenda Jordan, 43, of 57 Bonner St., was arrested Monday night after failing to register a commercial motor vehicle and not having insurance, police said.
James Nelson, 45, of 19 Dryden St., was arrested Monday on charges of third-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny in a September incident.
