Stamford Will See Cooler Weekend, Warmer Monday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Isolated showers and thunderstorms will help break the recent heatwave for the next few days, but another warm up is in store for Fairfield County residents.

Isolated showers will move through the area after 8 a.m. Friday. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with a high around 82. The chance of showers is 20 percent.

The sun will return on Saturday with a high around 78 degrees.

But temperatures will begin a slow climb on Sunday with more sun and highs in the low 80s.

Heat and humidity will return in earnest on Labor Day with highs around 88 degrees.
