Davonte Donald, 19, of Bridgeport, was granted the two-year probation program instead of receiving a prison sentence for sexual assault and risk of injury to a child, said Senior Assistant State's Attorney Tatiana Messina.

Donald was accused of putting his hands down the pants of a 15-year-old girl at Harding High School who was standing in front of him in the cafeteria lunch line and grabbing her genital area.

After the incident, the girl told a school security officer.

Messina, who objected to the accelerated rehabilitation, along with the victim, said that under the program Donald cannot commit any crimes and was also given other conditions.

If he stays clean during the two-year period, the charges will be dismissed.

The judge also ordered Donald to undergo sensitivity training.
