STAMFORD, Conn. A Stamford man accused of beating his wife over Facebook messages she received from another man was arrested Monday afternoon, police said.
The wife called police on Tuesday, June 5, to report that her husband, Edison Pacheco, had punched her in the face and choked her after seeing Facebook messages she received from a man he did not know, police said. She told police the man was her cousin, but Pacheco did not believe her, police said.
She had eye injuries that needed stiches, police said.
Police were unable to locate the suspect until Monday.
Pacheco, 32, was charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, police said.
