As of 12:30 p.m. Sunday, there were still 29 outages in Norwalk.
Earlier outages in Stamford and Darien, New Canaan, Ridgefield and Stamford have been restored.
original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — As brutal below-zero temperatures kept Fairfield County in a deep freeze Sunday morning, Eversource was reporting power outages in a number of towns.
As of 9:45 a.m., Eversource reported the following power outages:
- Darien: 14 customers
- New Canaan: 1 customer
- Norwalk: 196 customers
- Ridgefield: 1 customer
- Stamford: 2 customers
Residents are reminded to heat their homes using only approved appliances. If you need warm shelter, visit the state's 211 website for warming centers.
The Service Community Room at the Norwalk Department of Police, 1 Monroe St., is open to residents who need to get out of the cold.
