Emilia Martino Guarino, 84, of Stamford died surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 18. She was born in Ripacandida, Italy, on March 25, 1927, and came to the United States with her husband and children in 1967.
She was a member of St. Clements Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Guarino is survived by her children, Antonia Gabriele and her husband, Giovanni, Rosa Giordano, Vincenzo Guarino and his wife, Imperia, and Pascquale Guarino; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Teadoro Guarino, her brother, Angelo Marino, and great-grandson Giovanni DiTeadoro.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory , 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, Thursday, June 23, slightly after 9 a.m. for a Mass at St. Clements Church, 535 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory.
