- A Stamford Taxi driver Mahomed Kamal, 47, was found stabbed to death Wednesday morning on Doolittle Road in Stamford. After a police chase through the city's downtown dining district, another Stamford man was arrested on murder charges in connection with the death. His neighbor was shocked to find she lived in the same building as the accused killer. Kamal was buried Friday after his accused killer made his first court appearance, which was attended by many of the victim's friends and family members as they called for justice in the case .
- Desmond Hague , the head of a Stamford-based international sports venue catering company, has apologized after he was identified in court documents as a man who mistreated a 1-year-old Doberman Pinscher dog in a hotel elevator in Vancouver, B.C.
- Louis Siguencia, 29, of 65 Lincoln Ave., is charged with assault in connection with a street attack on Stamford Street.
- A Stamford tenant who owes about $7,000 to his landlord threatened to burn the house down if the landlord continued to ask for the back rent.
