CTTransit Pulls Buses Off The Roads Due To Snowy Conditions

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Due to worsening snow conditions CTtransit bus service was suspended at noon Thursday, the state bus service reported on its website and via Twitter.

"We will continue to evaluate conditions, and update regarding when service will resume," CTTransit said in a statement. 

CTTransit provides bus service in and around Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and Norwalk as well as in Hartford, New Haven, Waterbury, New Britain, Bristol, Meriden and Wallingford. 

It also provides service on Route 971 (I-BUS Express) between Stamford and White Plains, N.Y.

The last outbound trips from the Stamford Transportation Center was at 12:30 p.m.

Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a CTTransit bus crashed in New Haven, according to NBC Connecticut.
