Crane Falls On Boat At Marina In Stamford

Updated at 2 p.m.: STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police, fire and EMS were on the scene late Wednesday morning after a crane toppled over onto a boat at a marina, officials said.

The accident was reported at the Avalon on Stamford Harbor Marina off Southfield Avenue.

Another crane was used to lift the fallen crane off a boat, and an oil spill boom was placed around the barge to limit any harm to the water, officials said.
