STAMFORD, CONN. -- Charges have been dismissed in the case of a YMCA worker accused of inappropriately touching a 15-year-old boy in the summer of 2015, according to a report by The Stamford Advocate.

Bara Mbengue, a 55-year-old custodian who had been charged with sexual assault, took part in accelerated rehabilitation, a program for first-time offenders, and had his record expunged after a probationary period, The Stamford Advocate story said.

Mbengue, who has returned to his job, maintained his innocence and said the alleged touching happened while he was trying to break up some horseplay between the victim and another boy in the Y’s locker room, The Stamford Advocate article said.
