Accidents On I-95 In Darien, Stamford Add To Friday Commute Headache

DARIEN, Conn. -- UPDATED 3:40 P.M. A pair of three-vehicle accident between Exits 9 and 10 on I-95 north in Darien and between Exit 6 and 5 on I-95 south is quickly snarling traffic as the Friday commute begins.

The northbound accident was reported by the Connecticut Department of Transportation at 2:42 p.m. Friday.

Traffic was bumper-to-bumper on I-95 north through Stamford, and it was unknown when the accident would be cleared.

The southbound accident is taking out the left lane and is backing up traffic through Stamford as well. That accident was reported at 3:20 p.m. is expected to be cleared in an hour.
