Until Sept. 30, members can present their library cards at more than 20 participating businesses to enjoy various perks ranging from 10 percent off items to a free week of karate lessons and free glasses of wine.

People who register for new accounts at the library will receive $3 gift certificates to Peachwave Yogurt.

Categories for these benefits include personalized stationery, banking incentives, family photo sessions, jewelry, exercise and dance opportunities, food and travel.

The Wilton Public Library has teamed with the Wilton Chamber of Commerce to run this promotion called Get Carded in support of Library Card Sign-Up Month, sponsored by the American Library Association.

“If a Wilton resident doesn’t have a card, they simply can come to the circulation desk, and we’ll fix them right up so they can start enjoying all programs, services and collections of the library,” Karen Zeibak, the library’s circulation manager, said in a press release. “Then, they can go to town receiving all that the chamber businesses have to offer. We’ll also have free giveaways throughout the month, including W-logo bookmarks made from our new 3-D printer.”
