Raveis was recognized last week at the 10th annual Moffly Media Light a Fire Awards Ceremony, emceed by Broadway star James Naughton, which honors the nonprofit and philanthropic work of Fairfield County’s community heroes.

Cancer is personal to Raveis. When his friend (and president of Raveis) was diagnosed with cancer, followed by his wife, “it hit home twice."

Three years ago, the company’s Charitable Fund launched the Raveis Ride + Walk. Held in Fairfield County and Hingham, Mass., this community fundraiser has raised $1.5 million, to date, in support of the Damon Runyon Cancer Foundation, which funds scientists involved in cutting-edge cancer research.

The William Raveis Charitable Fund launched an online fundraising campaign on Nov. 28 for #GivingTuesday, the national day dedicated to giving back. All money raised will be directed to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. You can Donate Here.
