Whitey Bulger Author Speaks At Ferguson Library In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – The Friends of the Ferguson Library will host best-selling author T.J. English, who will talk about his new book, "Where the Bodies Were Buried: Whitey Bulger and the World That Made Him," on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. Building of The Ferguson Library in Stamford.

Tickets are $15 and include a wine-and-appetizer reception and a chance to win two tickets to see "Mark Twain Tonight!" starring Hal Holbrook at The Palace Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Appetizers will be provided by Cilantro Latin Fusion Restaurant and Westover Pizza. The program begins at 7 p.m. A book sale and signing will follow.

For more than two decades, English, a journalist, screenwriter and author, has chronicled the American underworld. In addition to "Where the Bodies Were Buried," English is the author of the New York Times best-sellers "Havana Nocturne," "Paddy Whacked" and "The Savage City" as well as "The Westies," a national best-seller, and "Born to Kill," which was nominated for an Edgar Award.

"Black Mass," a movie starring Johnny Depp as Bulger, opens in theaters on Sept. 18.
