Gutman’s professional career includes at one time running his own business consultancy firm, serving as a senior vice president for several media companies, and working as director of the National Basketball Association. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University in New York State.
“I’m excited to join the New Covenant House team and to continue the mission of feeding the hungry in a safe and compassionate environment,” Gutman said in a press release.
“With our new facility, we will increase our services to include basic needs such as food, clothing and hygiene, along with health, immigration and self-help counseling services…which we hope will help our guests reach their personal goals.”
Gutman, a Norwalk resident, is the father of two adult sons.
