STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Historical Society presents "Tales of Horror and Death" at the Hoyt Barnum House on Friday in Stamford.
There will be three tours of the house, at 713 Bedford St., starting at 7 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The Hoyt-Barnum House was built around 1699. It's the only 17th century farmhouse surviving in the area. The builder was a descendant of one of the original founders of Stamford.
