"East Coast Face2Face" is the brainchild of longtime Stamfordite Valerie Lynn of Valerie Lynn Design and newcomer, artist and entrepreneur, Jane Ubell-Meyer.
The two hosted their first event Sept. 23 to such success - more than 45 people from all different industries, according to Ubell-Meyer -- and are gearing up for their second, to be held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at a private area off the lobby of 75 Tresser Blvd.
The idea for the group was to focus on the "people" behind their businesses.
"Our goal is for Connecticut-based business owners to create joint ventures and help each other in a collaborative fashion," says Ubell-Meyer of MadisonAndMulholland.com. "We believe in social media; however 'face-to-face' is sometimes the best way to get to know each other and to explore mutual interests."
Tito's Vodka is the vodka sponsor and other local vendors include Noble Salon, Madison & Mulholland, Valerie Lynn Design, Ryan Printing Inc., Jarlsberg USA and La Jolie Salon.
Ubell-Meyer advises folks to "bring your party shoes and have fun."
Tables are available to offer vendors the opportunity to sell their holiday products.
