State Names Stamford Theater A Top Destination

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford’s Curtain Call has been named one of the Top 10 destinations in Connecticut and with your help it could be named the state's Fan Favorite.

"Our loyal fan base is very vocal in its support, but making it into the top 10 in the state is really amazing," Lou Ursone, executive director of Curtain Call, said in a theater news release.

Using social media the state opened the nomination process to Connecticut residents to find the places that are “Still Revolutionary” - the state’s new tourism slogan, a press release from the state said. The 10 places to receive the most nominations became the finalists.

The destination to receive the most votes will receive media coverage in the state’s fall marketing campaign, the release from Curtain Call said.

The complete Top 10 list is as follows:

  1. Connecticut Historical Society
  2. Coventry Regional Farmers Market at the Nathan Hale Homestead
  3. Curtain Call, Inc.
  4. Harriet Beecher Stowe House
  5. Hartford Stage
  6. Hill-Stead Museum
  7. Levitt Pavilion
  8. Mark Twain House and Museum
  9. New England Air Museum

10. Westport Country Playhouse
