Stamford's Mill River Park To Officially Open Thursday

STAMFORD, Conn. Mill River Park will officially reopen in downtown Stamford on Thursday evening.

Politicians and other dignitaries in Stamford will be on hand Thursday to cut the ribbon on Mill River Park.

The Mill River and the park were restored as a result of a successful civic collaboration. The Mill River Collaborative led the $100 million project, which is expected to change the urban landscape and economic development in Stamford, the organization said in a statement.

The list of guests includes Gov. Dannel Malloy, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes and Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
