Stamford's Mill River Park To Officially Open Thursday

STAMFORD, Conn. — Mill River Park will officially reopen in downtown Stamford on Thursday evening.

The Mill River and the park were restored as a result of a successful civic collaboration. The Mill River Collaborative led the $100 million project, which is expected to change the urban landscape and economic development in Stamford, the organization said in a statement.

The list of guests includes Gov. Dannel Malloy, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes and Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
