Stamford's Ferguson Library Hosts Events For Kids And Adults This Week

Kids activities:

  • Wiggle Worms Toddler Time: Tuesday, 11:15 a.m. at Main Library; Thursday, 11:15 a.m. at Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch - Songs, finger plays, stories and movement activities. Independently-walking babies up to 3 ½ with an adult.
  • Ninja Star Origami: Tuesday, 4:30 p.m., Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch - Fun with origami. Ages 7 and up. Adult craft partners welcome, too.
  • Grow a Reader Family Storytime: Thursday, 7 p.m. at Main Library; Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at Harry Bennett Branch
  • Friday Flicks: "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure": Friday, 2 p.m.
  • Fun With Fine Arts for Kids: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. Learn about wire figure sculptures, then sculpt a figure in motion and learn about gesture, form and balance.

Adult programs:

  • Classical Concert: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Main Library -The Lumina String Quartet performs works by Mozart, Haydn and Schober.
  • Sewing Fun: Thursday, 6 p.m., Main Library - Learn how to thread a sewing machine, then try some stitches of your own. A sewing machine will be available for practice, but participants are encouraged to bring their own machines and thread.
  • Medicare & Medicaid Counseling Sessions: Thursday, 1:30 to 4 p.m., Main Library
