The team from Stamford comprised students Mohammad Amin, Paolo Dinglasan, Dayana Ortiz, and Santiago Suarez. Finance teacher Ray Milo guided the team.
All five participants will be honored in Washington D.C. later this month.
U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) will escort the group, who will be honored with the other top-10 teams.
The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association sponsors the 14-week challenge.
Teams invest a hypothetical $100,000 in approved bonds, mutual funds, and stocks.
More than 15,000 students from 742 schools throughout the United States participated in this year’s Stock Market Game Capitol Hill Challenge.
“Congratulations to all the participants of this year’s Capitol Hill Challenge,” Kenneth E. Bentsen Jr., president and chief executive officer of Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, said in a press release.
