STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford’s Colby Rich is using his voice to gain national recognition  while at Emmanuel College.

Rich’s weekly radio program “Saturdays@7," won the “Best Live Music Broadcast” award during the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System's 73rd Annual Conference, which took place this past weekend, a statement from Emmanuel said.

The school took home three awards in total from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System, an organization that supports both terrestrial and Internet college radio stations.

In addition to being a disc jockey for EC Radio, the college radio station, the first year student is also vice president.

Rich graduated last spring from Trinity Catholic High School.
