This annual 5K walk or run and 10K run will benefit the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital. The 5K walk or run and 10K run routes begin and end at Columbus Park.

"WPSIR’s Winners," who consist of sales agents, company members, friends and family, hope to reach their team goal of raising more than $2,000 for the cause.

Hope in Motion is a year-round fundraiser created to support the Bennett Cancer Center, which opened 25 years ago as a place for hope and healing for all Stamford residents affected by cancer.

All funds raised from this event will go directly towards sustaining the facility’s medicine program, which is a free service offered to patients, as well as its clinical trials program, art therapy and grateful patient program.

The June 5 event gathers thousands of people on the streets of downtown Stamford.

“The Center has touched so many lives over the years in our beloved Stamford community, and now it’s our turn to give back,” said Swidler. “I am proud of everyone on our team for helping to raise funds for this important cause and reach our goal.”
