The fifth annual charity golf tournament is set for Thursday, May 22, at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford. The honorees, Jevera and Bill Hennessey, are "two very committed leaders in our community," said Don Case, Chairman of the Board. All proceeds from the outing will benefit older adults and the elderly living in Stamford.

"This fundraiser is always a wonderful day,” said tournament honorees, Jevera and Bill Hennessey. “It is a fabulous way to contribute to a great cause. Players leave with the satisfaction of knowing that they helped improve the quality of life for older adults and the elderly in Stamford. We are thrilled to be a part of this worthwhile event.”

Jevera Hennessey is a member of the Greenwich law firm Kaye and Hennessey, with a practice in the areas of estate planning and estate and trust administration. Bill Hennessey is a partner at the law firm of Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey and has practiced in Stamford for over 30 years in the fields of real estate and land use.

The fun begins with a pre-tournament luncheon and registration at 12:30 p.m. May 22. In addition to the team awards, golfers will compete for individual prizes in closest to the pin, longest drive and putting contests. Immediately following the tournament players will mingle, vie for special auction and raffle prizes and enjoy a spectacular dinner. Foursomes may enter at a cost of $800, individuals may register at a cost of $200. Sponsorship packages are also available to secure your opportunity to play.

“Our annual golf outing is a great event that raises funds to support the important programs and services we’ve been offering Stamford seniors for over 100 years,” said Kathleen Bordelon, Executive Director of Senior Services of Stamford. “We would like to thank our committee members John Louizos, Mike Mezzapelle, Fern Pessin and Patrick Deluca who have helped make this event possible.”
