In all, volunteers boxed up about 15 boxes with a total of 3,000 pairs of glasses.

The glasses will be cleaned, tagged with their prescriptions, sent to other countries and distributed to those less fortunate.

Glasses can be dropped off at the Newfield Shopping Center at the repainted mailbox, DeMott's Automotive on Pacific Street and Hitchcock Munson Opticians in Bull's Head to be included in the Lions Club's future donations.
