STAMFORD, Conn. The Ferguson Library has launched its annual appeal to help raise additional funding, a press release said.
This years drive will help support Sunday opening at the main library. The Sunday Sponsorship program has been successful in the past, allowing the library to stay open seven days a week.
Last year, 750,000 people used the library to attend programs, meet with others and charge electronic devices when the power was out, the release said.
The library has reached out to the community by sending letters to every household in Stamford. The campaign, which supplements the money the library receives from the city, is sponsored by the Ferguson Library Foundation .
For more information about sponsorship opportunities, contact Library President Ernest DiMattia at 203-351-8200. Donations can be made online at the Ferguson Library website .
