Stamford Hospital To Host Annual Women's Expo

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Hospital will host its fourth Annual Fairfield County Women's Expo this weekend at the Stamford Plaza Hotel.

The hours are Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the hotel at 2701 Summer St. Free indoor parking will be available. Regular admission is $10 and it is free to children ages 12 and under. Click here for a $5 admission coupon.

The event will include shopping with hundreds of unique vendors, prize giveaways, a job fair, a farmer's market, pet adoption, psychic readings, free samples, beauty makeovers and more.

It will also offer free health screenings by Stamford Hospital for:

  • Cardiac/Stroke Risk Assessment
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • Body Fat Analysis
  • Facial Skin Analysis
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Pulmonary Function

Also, the Mobile Wellness Coach will offer mammography screenings by appointment. Most insurances will be accepted. Call 203-276-5990 for more information or to register.

On Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., attendees will have a chance to meet Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani and Valentin Chmerkovskiy from "Dancing With The Stars."

A portion of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross and Stamford-based AmeriCares.
