Stamford Holiday Shoppers Can Add Library to List

STAMFORD, Conn. — The holiday season is a time for giving, and the Friends of the Ferguson Library want you to add the Stamford library to your list. By buying books, CDs and movies offered at the Friends’ bookshops, you will be helping to support the library.

In addition to its usual variety of items, the bookshops are also offering holiday-themed books this season. The items include cookbooks, craft books and decorating books as well as classic stories.

A selection of literary and historical classics from Easton Press is available at the bookshop in the main branch.

Most of the items sold are in like-new condition and are priced from $1 to $5, the group said. All proceeds go to the library.

The Friends of the Ferguson Library group has bookshops at the main library and at the Harry Bennett Branch . The shops are open when the library is open. The main library is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Harry Bennett Branch is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday but is closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, the library’s website said.
