The project is part of the “God’s Work, Our Hands” community service program that St. John’s and many other Lutheran churches in the country participate in each year. In the Sept, 7 project, church members and friends organized and cleaned shelves at the Food Bank, sewed a quilt for Lutheran World Relief at St. John’s and decorated and delivered homemade cookies to firemen at the Belltown fire station. On Sunday, Sept. 14, St. John’s members will be cooking for the Pacific House residents.
St. John's Lutheran Church is at 884 Newfield Ave. in Stamford. Visit its website for more information.
